Missions :
The software engineering expert manages projects at the centre Mersenne during one or more phases of the software development life cycle, in accordance with applicable standards, procedures and guidelines (analysis, development, qualification, integration, deployment), primarily in order to provide scientific journal publishing services on the web.
Activities :
• Provide a strategic, long-term vision for technological choices, new features and new tools to be developed.
• Define the broad outlines of the software developed and design its architecture, either alone or as part of a team.
• Lead IT projects in collaboration with Mathdoc’s external partners (Mathrice, centre Mersenne journals), from the expression of needs to implementation, focusing on the development and evolution of tools for publishing scientific corpuses on the web.
• Ensure the design of the hardware and software architecture according to the context. Assemble the software components. Carry out all or part of a software development project (mock-up, specification, design, testing). Deploying applications (installation, support, training, evaluation). Maintaining applications (diagnosing faults, correcting them, etc.) and upgrading them.
• Assess the workload and costs of software development.
• Write technical and user documentation.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest technological developments in the field.
