The DOAJ, for example, adds a link to <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/v2.sherpa.ac.uk\/romeo\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sherpa Romeo<\/a> to the journal&#8217;s entry:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.centre-mersenne.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/image.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/image.png\" alt=\"Image of the journal distribution policy on the DOAJ website\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<p>In addition, some software is interfaced with Sherpa Romeo. So, for example, HAL proposes automatically a link towards the policy of diffusion of the selected review during the deposit of a document:<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-style-default\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-1.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>Completing the record on Sherpa Romeo allows authors to have simplified access to distribution policies on many other sites.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How?<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Directly into Sherpa Romeo<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>On the <a href=\"https:\/\/v2.sherpa.ac.uk\/romeo\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/v2.sherpa.ac.uk\/romeo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sherpa Romeo<\/a> website, click on &#8220;Contact&#8221;&gt; &#8220;Suggest a new publisher policy&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<p>For each version of the article (submitted, accepted, published), fill in the following information:<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Publisher Information<\/strong>: name + URL<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>General Policy Information<\/strong>: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>URL of the journal&#8217;s policy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>what are the conditions of distribution (link to the publisher&#8217;s version, authors retain their rights, etc.)?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>does the journal charge a publication fee? <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>under which Creative Commons license is the article distributed?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>Open Access Allowed:<\/strong> Does the journal allow open access to the article?<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Where Can It Be Deposited ?<\/strong> On which sites can the author submit his article? ArXiv, Pubmed, author&#8217;s personal website&#8230;<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Embargo Length<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> specify if there is an embargo and if so, what is the deadline.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>On Mir@bel<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/reseau-mirabel.info\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/reseau-mirabel.info\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mir@bel<\/a> is a portal for reporting access to French electronic scientific journals. Since 30 June 2021, Mir@bel offers journals and publishers the possibility to declare their publication policy, which will then appear on the Mir@bel website:<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-2.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>Mir@bel then automatically sends the information to Sherpa Romeo.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>To add its distribution policy:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p>Log in to your Mir@bel account and click on the &#8220;My policies&#8221; icon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-3.png\" alt=\"Icon for adding a distribution policy.\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p>If your journal does not appear in the list, you can request access to Mir@bel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on the &#8220;Create Policy&#8221; button.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-4.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<p>Then simply fill in the form:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Identification of the journal model<\/strong>: presence or absence of an embargo, publication fees, hybrid journal, subscription-based, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Copyright<\/strong>: does the journal offer a rights assignment contract with the author? If so, is it an exclusive assignment?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Creative Commons license<\/strong>: does the journal have the non-exclusive right to distribute articles under the CC license? If so, which one? Specify the URL of the policy on the journal&#8217;s website.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When?<\/h2>\n\n<p>The journal must already have an ISSN.<\/p>\n\n<p>Required information to file a distribution policy on Sherpa Romeo:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ISSN<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>URL or e-mail of the journal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>publisher&#8217;s name<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a contact person (name, e-mail, country, relationship of the applicant to the journal).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Other optional information is requested.
