{"id":3921,"date":"2023-01-19T10:34:54","date_gmt":"2023-01-19T09:34:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.centre-mersenne.org\/mathoa\/"},"modified":"2024-10-08T14:57:27","modified_gmt":"2024-10-08T12:57:27","slug":"mathoa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.centre-mersenne.org\/en\/mathoa\/","title":{"rendered":"MathOA, a foundation to help maths journals move towards open access"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is MathOA?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>A member of the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fairopenaccess.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"><u>Fair Open Access Alliance<\/u><\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mathoa.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"><u>MathOA<\/u><\/a> is a foundation that aims to help mathematics journals migrate from a commercial publisher to an open access solution. For example, several journals have already taken the plunge and moved from a fee-based publisher to an open access publisher. In 2015, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lingoa.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\">LingOA<\/a> was created and helped four linguistics journals migrate from a traditional publisher to an open access publisher. 2016 saw the creation of MathOA and the journal <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/alco.centre-mersenne.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Algebraic Combinatorics<\/a> went open access in 2016.
